The Bureau of Land Management Ely District Office remains open to the public while construction is underway to replace the front parking lot.

The Bureau of Land Management concluded the FY2024 Marietta wild burro gather located approximately 45 miles south of Hawthorne, Nev., in Mineral County., on August 22, 2024.

On or about August 25, 2024, the Wells Field Office plans to begin an emergency wild horse gather on and around the Maverick-Medicine Herd Management Area (HMA) located approximately 62 miles southwest of Wells, Nevada.

The Grand Junction Field Office seeks public input on a business plan with proposed recreation fees for select campsites in the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area. The field office will accept comments from the public through Sept. 25.

The Bureau of Land Management’s Wild Horse and Burro program is working with Wyoming Mustang Association to sponsor Wyoming Mustang and Burros Days in Wheatland on Aug. 24-25.

The BLM is pleased to announce the addition of four new and two reappointed members to the Alaska Resource Advisory Council (RAC).

The Bureau of Land Management Wyoming state office today released the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Proposed Resource Management Plan (RMP) and Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Rock Springs Field Office.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, the BLM will lift all seasonal fire restrictions for public lands administered by the Phoenix District Office, including BLM lands in Maricopa, northern Pinal, western Pima, and Yavapai counties.

The Bureau of Land Management Upper Colorado River District will remove stage 1 fire restrictions for the Grand Junction and Colorado River Valley Field Offices effective 12:01 a.m. Friday.

The Bureau of Land Management Bakersfield Field Office is issuing an emergency closure of the Case Mountain Extensive Recreation Management Area in Tulare County, due to wildland fire danger from the nearby Coffee Pot Fire. This temporary closure is effective immediately, until further notice.

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on the draft environmental assessment for the proposed Easley Solar project in Riverside County. If approved, the project could generate up to 400 megawatts of solar energy and 650 megawatts of battery storage capacity, delivering clean renewable electricity to the statewide transmission grid. The comment period will close September 20.
