Come out to the MetraPark Inner Field, Friday, June 7, 4-7 p.m. for a sneak peak of the 75 wild horses and burros that will be available for adoption at the Bureau of Land Management’s adoption event June 8-9.

The Steens Mountain Advisory Council has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, June 13, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a field tour in the Steens Mountain area, and Friday, June 14, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for a business session.

The BLM will host three virtual sessions—June 11, 13, and 27— to inform the congressionally-directed feasibility study of the proposed Alaska Long Trail National Scenic Trail.

The Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Yuma Field Office has finalized the Imperial Hills Travel and Transportation Management Plan Environmental Assessment for BLM-managed public lands in the area north of Yuma.

NEEDLES, Calif. – Due to extreme temperatures and insufficient water availability, the Bureau of Land Management began an emergency gather of wild burros on Friday, May 31, using a temporary water and bait trap method in the Piute Mountain Herd Area in San Bernardino County.

The BLM Las Cruces District invites Pinos Altos residents to come out and be informed of the ongoing and future herbicidal treatment actions as part of a vegetative treatment program to reduce the amount and continuity of burnable vegetation surrounding the Pinos Altos area.

The BLM Boise District Office will host a wild horse adoption June 7 - 8 at the Boise Wild Horse Off-Range Corral just off Pleasant Valley Road. There will be approximately 60 wild horses and seven burros available this weekend.

The Rocky Mountain Resource Advisory Council will meet June 20 at the Bureau of Land Management’s San Luis Valley Field office in Monte Vista, Colo. An optional field tour will be conducted the following day.

The Tucson Field Office has finalized the Middle Gila South Access and Transportation Management Plan Environmental Assessment for BLM-managed public lands close to Tucson and Phoenix and near small towns and communities in Pinal, Pima, Cochise and Gila counties, Arizona.

The Bureau of Land Management has issued a final decision to approve an amendment for dispersed recreational target shooting in the Sonoran Desert National Monument Resource Management Plan.
