BLM concludes Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Gather

The BLM Grand Junction Field Office concluded wild horse gather operations on the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Range today. The gather operations began Sept. 11 and approximately 140 horses from four areas of the horse range were gathered during the eight days.

BLM Shoshone Field Office staff and partners complete Hang Loose and Hang Tight trails in Wood River Valley

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Shoshone Field Office staff in partnership with the International Mountain Bicycling Association, City of Hailey, Wood River Trails Coalition, and the Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) just finished constructing the Hang Loose and Hang Tight trails located immediately adjacent to Hailey in the Hangman drainage.

All of the offered wild horses and burros found new homes at the most recent BLM/Wyoming Honor Farm adoption. The highest bid was for 2-year-old Walker, who will be used to teach a college horsemanship course.
