Yuma, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be closing T.K. Jones Campground and Boat Launch from Oct. 1 - Nov. 15, 2024. The closure will allow crews to re-pave the facilities.

"If the project is finished prior to Nov. 15," said Yuma Field Manager Ray Castro, "the facility will open early."

T.K. Jones Campground and Boat Launch is located on the backwaters of the Colorado River directly above Imperial Dam. The use fees are $10 per day per vehicle for day-use, $15 per vehicle for overnight use, and $75 annually. The site contains approximately 125 RV sites and numerous dispersed tent camping sites. It includes the following amenities: paved boat launch, docks, canoe launch area, potable water dispenser, gray water disposal, 4 restrooms with flush toilets, and showers for a separate fee. Dispersed picnic tables and BBQ grills are also available at the site.

T.K. Jones Campground and Boat Launch is one of the locations selected for proposed fee changes by BLM Arizona to modernize its facilities. For further information, please visit the Bureau of Land Management's site for the BLM Yuma Field Office Amenity Fee Recreation Sites Draft Business Plan.
