The Bureau of Land Management has amended the emergency closure associated with the No Man fire, along Canton Creek and Pass Creek on lands administered by the BLM Roseburg District.

The Bureau of Land Management Bishop Field Office would like to encourage all visitors who plan on camping in the Alabama Hills this fall to plan ahead and prepare in order to have the best camping experience possible while enjoying and taking care of public lands. Camping in the Alabama Hills from mid-September through November can be very busy, with campsites filling up on weekends.  Additionally, the main access to the Hills through Whitney Portal Road is closed and visitors must use an alternate route, which adds travel time to get to Movie Road.

The Bureau of Land Management’s Southeast Oregon Resource Advisory Council will meet in person on Tuesday Nov. 19, and Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. The public is welcome to attend both meetings.

Fire restrictions will decrease in northeast Nevada on Tuesday, October 1 on public lands and unincorporated private lands in Elko, Lander, and Eureka Counties.

The BLM Carlsbad Field Office is celebrating the 31st annual National Public Lands Day by inviting volunteers to participate in two trash cleanup events.

The Bureau of Land Management Colorado State Office held a competitive oil and gas lease sale, offering one parcel covering 120 acres in Colorado.

The BLM will hold two virtual public information meetings on the proposed vegetation management activities on public lands in Md. and Va. Tuesday, October 8. The first meeting is at 4 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m.

BLM Eastern States will hold an information meeting at the Lorton Public Library in Lorton, Virginia focusing on a vegetation management draft environmental assessment Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The BLM Kemmerer Field Office is inviting the community to celebrate National Public Lands Day by participating in a sagebrush planting event. The event will take place on September 27, 2024, at 1 p.m.

The group modified more than 2 miles of barbed wire fence on Y U Bench, southeast of Cody, making it easier for the Carter Mountain pronghorn herd to travel between summer and winter ranges.

The Idaho Resource Advisory Council (RAC) invites the public on an in-person tour of BLM managed restoration and fuels treatments projects on Oct. 9, and a hybrid in-person and virtual Idaho RAC meeting on Oct. 10, 2024.
