My Wild Burro Story: Caitlin and Radar
This is Under The Radar, formerly known as 13145157. I adopted Radar from the Delta, Utah adoption facility in April 18, 2019.
Radar is my first wild animal, and my first donkey! Training him was a definite change of pace from the horses I am used to! In just under 60 days, I took Radar - a wild, untrusting burro at the time - to the Utah Wild Horse and Burro Festival's first-ever under saddle burro competition! We competed in the Hunter under saddle and costume classes, and he was a crowd favorite! We can't wait to go again this year!
Since then, Radar has become a reliable trail mount, and has carried me all over Utah! He's even been brave enough to stare down bison at Antelope Island State Park. I am so lucky to have such an awesome burro!
