National Public Lands Day with BLM Utah banner.

Welcome to our Public Lands Day Virtual Scavenger Hunt!

National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the largest single-day volunteer event for public lands held across the United States each year on the fourth Saturday in September. This year it falls on September 28, 2024.

For events across the state, visit: BLM Utah plans events statewide for National Public Lands Day | Bureau of Land Management.

Game Rules:

  1. The virtual scavenger hunt will run September 1 through September 28, 2024.
  2. Collecting these clues can be done one of two ways:
    1. In-person with a selfie
    2. Virtually with a screenshot
  3. Make sure the photo is labeled with a location for those that are location specific.
    1. They also do not have to be in any specific order, but please note which photo belongs with which clue.
  4. Virtual clues can be found on our Visit pages (set "location" to Utah), within any of our Flickr Albums, or on our @BLM Utah YouTube Channel
    1. Some of the clues can have more than one correct answer, so you only need one of them.
  5. Turn in your completed scavenger hunt to your local Field Office for a special BLM Utah sticker.
  6. Have your family, friends, or youth pick a few of them or all of them to have a fun summer's end activity.
