The Bureau of Land Management has implemented restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM, Roseburg District.
ARCATA, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for public lands managed by the Arcata Field Office in Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, and Mendocino counties beginning Wednesday, July 3. These seasonal fire restrictions listed in the fire order will be in place to help prevent wildfire and will remain in effect until further notice. These restrictions are in addition to the BLM year-round statewide fire prevention order also in effect until further notice.
The BLM Oklahoma Field Office is announcing changes to the hunting program for the Cross Bar Special Recreation Management Area in Potter County, Texas.
The BLM invites public input on a proposal to sell approximately 249 acres of BLM-administered public lands in Nye County roughly 64 miles southwest of Ely. Comments are needed on or before Aug. 12, 2024.
As a result of the Upper Applegate Fire, the BLM has temporarily closed BLM-managed lands in the area for public and firefighter safety. Members of the public may not enter closed areas, and all uses are prohibited.
Due to dry conditions and increasing fire danger, the Bureau of Land Management is placing stage 1 fire restrictions on public lands in the following counties: Crook, Niobrara, Weston, Goshen, and Platte.
