BLM seeks comment for the Lamoille Summit Trail System in Nevada

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comments on the proposed Lamoille Summit Trail System (Project) located between Elko and Spring Creek, Nevada. The proposed project would consist of the construction of three trailhead/parking areas with approximately 50 miles of non-motorized trails on lands administered by the BLM.

Western Slope public lands enter stage 1 fire restrictions Friday

Bureau of Land Management Grand Junction and Colorado River Valley Field Offices will implement stage 1 fire restrictions effective 12:01 a.m. Aug. 2. BLM officials use specific criteria, including the moisture content of vegetation, weather outlooks, and human risk factors to make fire restrictions decisions.
