BLM announces seasonal fire restrictions for northeast California public lands

The Bureau of Land Management is issuing fire restrictions for northeast California public lands managed by the Applegate and Eagle Lake field offices in Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Sierra, Siskiyou and Shasta counties in California and Washoe County, Nevada beginning Monday, July 15.  These seasonal restrictions listed in the fire order will be in place to help prevent wildfire and will remain in effect until further notice. These restrictions are in addition to the BLM year-round statewide fire prevention order.

With increasing precipitation and higher humidity, resulting in reduced fire danger, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Roswell Field Office has terminated fire restrictions at the Fort Stanton - Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area and the Lincoln Tracts in Lincoln County, N.M.

Campfire Restrictions Increase to Stage 3 on Wild Portion of Lower Rogue River

The sustained heat wave, along with extremely dry fuel conditions, have prompted officials with the BLM to increase campfire restrictions on the Rogue National Wild and Scenic River.
