The Acton Recreation Area is approximately 25 miles northeast of Billings and provides opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing and mountain biking. The area is closed to target shooting.

Take Highway 3 north of Billings past the town of Acton between mile markers 18 and 19. Take a right onto Oswald Road and continue 6.5 miles to Haeg Road and then take a right. The parking lot and entrance to the Acton Recreation Area is approximately 2.5 miles.
