Incident Business
The Montana/Dakotas BLM State Incident Business Program provides professional guidance to the State Director, State Fire Management Officer, and Field Office Managers; and coordinates statewide incident business management practices to ensure fiscal responsibilities of incident expenditures are met. The program develops interagency incident business management policies and guidance in coordination with other cooperative agencies to improve incident business management at the local, geographical and national levels. It is responsible for providing a variety of fire-related services to managers including: training, cost share agreements, financial tracking, long range organizational studies, drafting cooperative interagency agreements, developing contract requirements, reviewing fire management plans, managing state assistance payments, performing audits, and designing proposals for more effective operations.
