Volunteers needed for National Public Lands Day event at Pyramid Lake on September 22

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District, along with the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe will host a National Public Lands Day (NPLD) event on Saturday, September 22, 2018. At this event volunteers will collect seeds from native plants and the seeds collected will be available for restoration of burned areas on public and tribal lands.
When: Saturday, September 22, 2018
Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Pelican Point on the west shore of Pyramid Lake.
Directions: From Reno, NV, head north on State Route 445, continue north past Sutcliffe, NV to Pelican Point. Signs will be posted at Pelican Point to direct volunteers to the event location. See the location on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/gjJYss3dsWw
This is one of the many events that will be held around the country as part of the 25th annual NPLD. NPLD is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands we all enjoy.
