Southwest Resource Advisory Council to Meet Mar. 31, 2017

MONTROSE, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management’s Southwest Resource Advisory Council will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 31, at the Montrose County Fairground Building Pioneer Room, 1001 N. 2nd St.

The meeting is open to the public, with public comment scheduled for 11:30 a.m.  Individuals who want to provide comments should register with the BLM by sending an email to sborders@blm.gov by Wednesday, Mar. 29. Written copies of public comments should be submitted for the administrative record.

Agenda items include officer elections, an overview of the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area’s Resource Management Plan and travel management implementation.

The Southwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to BLM Colorado. Composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, individuals serving in each RAC represent diverse public land interests, ranging from environmental to local government to commercial activity.
