San Juan Islands Monument Advisory Committee plans Sept. 27 meeting

San Juan Islands, WA. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced today that the San Juan Islands National Monument Advisory Committee (MAC) will meet on Sept. 27, 2023. The meeting will be held virtually from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the public is welcome to attend using the Zoom link below.

“We appreciate the continued support from the San Juan Islands Monument Advisory Committee,” BLM Spokane District Manager Kurt Pindel said. “We look forward to working together as we plan implementation of the Approved Resource Management Plan.”

Planned agenda items for the Sept. 27 meeting include general monument updates, yearly accomplishments, interpretation needs and cultural resource program updates.

A one-hour open forum will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m., for anyone wishing to address the MAC. The amount of time for individual oral comments may be limited, depending on the number of people wishing to comment.
