The BLM will close Emerald Mountain Trailhead on Cow Creek Road (County Road 45) for about four weeks beginning Aug. 19 to perform trail improvements. To access this trail system until this project is finished, please use the first gate on Cow Creek Road off of County Road 33.
The BLM is improving the trailhead to provide parking for vehicles and horse trailers to allow access to the Ridge, Beall and Rotary Trails. The BLM is also installing toilet facilities.
For more information on the current improvements and the closure, please contact Gina Robison at 970-826-5083.
