BLM seeks public comment on Color-of-Title patent of a 40-acre parcel

CARSON CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District, has completed a Preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Dodge Family Trust Color of Title Project. Public comments will be accepted through June 22, 2017.
The purpose of the proposed land disposal (sale), is to provide the Trustee of the Dodge Family Living Will, a patent to the 40 acre parcel of public land located in Washoe County. The family has been in possession of by way of warranty deed and has been paying the required property taxes to Washoe County since 1894. The EA analyzes the direct, indirect, and cumulative effects from issuing the patent.
