Subject:     Commercial Wireless Enterprise Service (CWES)                  DD: 02/20/2009

This IM transmits a request for each field office to designate a Cellular Phone Coordinator (CPC) to work with the State Authorized Ordering Official (AOO) for wireless services.

During the summer of 2007 the Department of Interior entered into a contract with Verizon Business Service (VBS) to provide a controlled process for the management of all Department wireless services. Wireless services will be managed by the agencies through a web portal provided by a VBS partner, Profitline, Inc.  

The State Authorized Ordering Official for California is Diane Dimberg, State Telephone Services lead.  As AOO, Diane has access to accounts within the portal and can add new lines, change existing lines, order new equipment and pull various reports on usage and inventory.

On October 1, 2008 BLM went live with this new contract.  Based on the Department contract, any acquisition of or changes to our wireless services (such as cell phones) must be processed through the AOO.  

Please provide the name of your office’s CPC directly to Diane Dimberg by February 20, 2009.
