This course is listed in DOI Learn (1500-70, Stewardship Workshop) at: https://www.doi.gov/doilearn.Date: June 6 -10, 2011Location: Missoula, MTThis course will provide you with the guidance you'll need to design and manage stewardship contracts and agreements. You will learn how to choose the right contract or agreement and understand the contents of each; conduct outreach and market research; financial and progress tracking; and, monitoring. We'll also be offering hands-on training for SCID, the Stewardship Contracting Information Database.This training course is required for employees who are responsible for the development, procurement, and administration of stewardship contracts and agreements. Employees engaged in planning, implementing, and monitoring stewardship contracting in each state, including stewardship project leads, state stewardship contracting coordinators, state forestry program leads, state fuels program leads, and state procurement analysts and contracting officers should also consider attending. As stated in WO IM No. 2005-134, contracting and grants management officers wishing to receive delegated authority to award stewardship contracts or stewardship agreements must successfully complete this course as well as a performance-based service contracting course. This course will count for contracting officer's representative refresher or forty contract learning points.Please register at DOI Learn, or by calling the individuals listed below by 05/13/2011.
