Colorado River Valley Field Office Recreation Opportunities
BLM Colorado offers a diversity of recreation activities and destinations. Here are a few of the highlights from the Colorado River Valley Field Office:
Bocco Mountain Recreation Area
A small upland riding area with fantastic scenery. With 18 miles of single-track trails open to non-motorized uses and motorcycles only. Bocco Mountain is closed from December 1-April 30.
Deep Creek Recreation Area
A great place for a family picnic or just a short time-out from your routine. Multiple picnic sites are available as well as a restrooms.
Crown Special Recreation Area
Near Carbondale is managed primarily for mountain biking but has trails open to hikers, equestrians, and motorized use.
Upper Colorado River Recreation Area
A unique and beautiful landscape, known for its diverse water features, abundant wildlife, and cultural landscapes.
