Natchitoches, Louisiana

This week we head south to Natchitoches, Louisiana. Established in 1714, Natchitoches (“Nack-a-tish”) is the oldest city in Louisiana and the oldest settlement in the 828,000 square miles that comprised the Louisiana purchase. Read more on ArcGIS Story Maps.

The GLO website provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than 12 million federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present.
