Welcome to record of the week for May 31, 2020, our team would like to celebrate 50 years of Pride in New York City with a look back at how the city has served as a place for people of every gender, class, race, and creed to make a life for themselves.Every June, millions of Americans celebrate the culture, struggles, and victories of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community during Pride month. These celebrations often culminate in a Pride parade. This year marks 50 years since the Christopher Street Liberation Day March on June 28, 1970.
