Today’s General Land Office (GLO) record of the week features Daniel Boone. Most of Daniel Boone's life was spent in Kentucky and Tennessee, both non Public Land Survey System (PLSS) states. However, he did spend his last days in Missouri. Our GLO record this week is of the survey of Township 45 North, Range 2 East, 5th PM in Missouri. The plat here depicts the land grant issued to Daniel Boone. Learn more with our story map.
The GLO web site provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than 12 million Federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present. The site also hosts images of survey plats and field notes, land status records, and control document index records, and is the most visited website in the Department of the Interior.
