BLM Mother Lode and Ukiah field offices ease seasonal fire restrictions

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management has eased fire restrictions, effective Monday Nov. 4, on public lands managed by the Mother Lode and Ukiah field offices. Fire restrictions were initiated on June 12 to curb the wildfire risk. Recreational target shooting and campfires are once again allowed on public lands with a valid campfire permit, unless otherwise posted.

Prescribed fire planned for public lands on the Arizona Strip

To decrease the risk of future wildfires and protect cultural and natural resources, the Arizona Strip District anticipates initiating prescribed fire treatments and pile burns this fall from November through January.
Wyoming, High Plains DO

Trails Center to temporarily close mid-December for maintenance

The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper will temporarily close to the public beginning Dec. 16, 2024. The facility is expected to re-open in March 2025.

BLM personal-use fuelwood permits available at various locations and online

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is selling fuelwood permits for personal use to the public. Fuelwood permits cost $5 - $20 per cord and are available in person at select locations and online.

Prescribed Burning begins on BLM Managed Lands

The BLM will conduct prescribed burns in portions of Douglas County on BLM-administered lands beginning the week of October 28. The prescribed burns will continue as conditions permit through the Spring of 2025.

BLM Farmington Field Office plans prescribed pile burns near Cedar Hill and West Navajo

Beginning Nov. 1, 2024, and continuing through out the month, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) plans to conduct prescribed pile burn operations in two locations in the Farmington Field Office.

Bureau of Land Management released a Final Environmental Impact Statement to amend the 1998 Las Vegas Resource Management Plan for the Rough Hat Clark Solar Project proposed on approximately 2,469 acres of public lands.
