San Rafael Swell Recreation Area Advisory Council to meet in November 2024

CASTLE DALE, Utah The San Rafael Swell Recreation Area Advisory Council (RAAC) will meet Nov. 20, 2024, at the City Hall Building at 20 South 100 East, Castle Dale, Utah. The meeting is open to the public.

The San Rafael Swell Recreation Area was created in the Dingell Act of 2019. The RAAC is a seven-person council which advises the BLM on the preparation and implementation of the management plan for the Recreation Area.

The meeting is held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. A public comment period will be held at 2:00 p.m. for anyone wishing to address the RAAC members. A virtual participation option for the public comment period will be posted for registration on the RAAC website.

Agenda items for this meeting will include camping and special recreation permits within the Recreation Area. A full agenda will be posted on the San Rafael Swell RAAC website at least two weeks in advance of the meeting.
