BLM seeks input for proposed copper exploration near Florence

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public comment for proposed copper exploration on public lands in the Mineral Mountain area east of Florence in Pinal County. 

If approved, Desert Fox Minerals Company may drill four exploratory boreholes over 45 days and across approximately 100 acres of public lands with the total disturbed area being less than an acre. 

Additional information, including the draft environmental assessment, is available at the BLM National NEPA Register, where comments may be submitted through the “Participate Now” option. The comment period will close May 7, 2025.
