Battle Mountain, Nev. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public review of a Determination of National Environmental Policy Act Adequacy (DNA) for the Fish Creek Herd Management Area (HMA.) The 30-day comment period will conclude Dec. 7, 2024

The purpose of the DNA being completed for the proposed BLM wild horse gather in the Fish Creek Herd Management Area is to review the potential environmental impacts of the capture, treat-and-release gather and confirm that the proposed action is adequately analyzed in existing NEPA documents and is in conformance with the land use plan.  In accordance with BLM Manual 4720 –Removal, the public is being afforded a 30-day review period of the DNA.

The DNA, titled Fish Creek Herd Management Area (HMA) Capture, Treat, and Release Wild Horse and Burro Gather, can be viewed and commented on the BLM National NEPA Register. Comments can also be mailed to: -
