Event Description

Come celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with the Bureau of Land Management at Betty's Kitchen Watchable Wildlife Viewing Area, located in Mittry Lake Wildlife Area, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.

There will be a short presentation about why the Colorado River is important to migratory birds.

There will be free posters, stickers, bookmarks, coloring pages, and a scavenger hunt.

Directions to Betty's Kitchen Watchable Wildlife Viewing Area: From Yuma, take State Highway 95 (16th Street) east 5 miles to Avenue 7E. Turn north on Avenue 7E, following it 9 miles to a point just past Laguna Dam. Turn left at the sign for Betty's Kitchen.
