Event Description
ELM CREEK, NEB. – The Bureau of Land Management will host two wild horse adoption events, July 19 and August 16, at the Elm Creek Wild Horse and Burro Corrals in Elm Creek, Neb.
Up to 30 untrained wild horses from the Wheatland Off-Range Corral will be available first come, first served for adoption or sale. Both events will begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon.

Please note, these adoptions will take the place of the regularly scheduled wild horse adoptions at the Wheatland Corral for these months only. Events at the Wheatland Corral are planned to resume in September.
To qualify, adopters must be at least 18 years old and have facilities that meet the BLM’s requirements for adoption. Be sure to ask about our Adoption Incentive Program, which offers $1,000 after providing good care to a wild horse or burro for at least one year.
