Roseburg, Ore. — Please join the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a volunteer family friendly day of restoration work at the Millpond, Lone Pine, and Rock Creek recreation areas, as part of National Public Lands Day (NPLD) 2024.
“We are excited to offer a National Public Lands Day event at our recreation sites that were heavily impacted by the Archie Creek fire,” said Mike Korn, Swiftwater Field Manager. “This is a great opportunity for our local communities to help get these sites repaired and eventually reopened.”
Volunteers interested in participating should arrive by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Volunteers will work until about 2:00 p.m. The volunteer opportunities will include continued work to repair recreation infrastructure.
The BLM will provide all tools and work gloves needed. Please wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. Please bring water and a light snack.
If you plan to participate in this activity, please rsvp your attendance to Cheyne Rossbach at crossbac@blm.gov.
