Event Description

Roseburg, Ore. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Roseburg District announces the opening dates for the 2025 camping season.

Campground opening dates will be:

  • Susan Creek: Monday, April 14 to November 16, 2025
  • Eagleview Group Site: Friday, May 2 to October 19, 2025
  • Cavitt Creek: Friday, May 16 to November 16, 2025
  • Scaredman: Friday, May 16 to November 16, 2025
  • Tyee: Open year-round. Sites 1-10 all year. Sites 11-15 Friday, May 16 to Sunday, October 19, 2025

Day use activity is permitted at these locations.

The Lone Pine Group, Rock Creek, and Millpond campgrounds will remain closed for camping in 2025. The BLM continues to work on repairs to infrastructure at these fire-impacted sites. Campgrounds continue to be managed under a reservation only system through the www.recreation.gov website.

Campsites at the Eagleview Group, Susan Creek, Cavitt Creek, and the pavilion at the Tyee Campground must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance of the stay by visiting www.recreation.gov. Tyee campsites may be booked up to the point of arrival.

The Scaredman campground must be reserved at least five (5) days in advance of the stay by visiting www.recreation.gov. Campers wishing to stay at an unreserved campsite should log on to www.recreation.gov or call the reservation line (toll free) at 877-444-6777. The reservation line is available every day from 10 a.m. – 12 a.m. EST.

Due to the 2020 Archie Creek Fire, Susan Creek Campground has had ongoing recovery work to remove hazard trees and reduce fuel loading that can pose ongoing fire risk to the campground.
