LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a proposal to sell 11 parcels totaling 89 acres of public lands throughout the Las Vegas Valley through the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA).

In accordance with the act, 85% of the funds generated by this sale will go to projects throughout Nevada, such as development of parks, trails, and natural areas, capital improvements on federal lands, acquisition of environmentally sensitive land, hazardous fuels reduction, and landscape restoration projects. Additionally, 5% of the revenue will go to the State of Nevada for education and 10% will go to the Southern Nevada Water Authority.

The sale will take place March 18, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time, on EnergyNet. Potential bidders may register for the online sale as soon as the auction website is active, and available parcels may be viewed about ten business days after this announcement. The parcels are available for sale at no less than fair market value, which will be available no later than 30 days prior to the sale.

To participate, prospective buyers must create an EnergyNet account, complete the EnergyNet Bidding Terms Agreement, request a bidding allowance, register for the BLM Nevada SNPLMA 11 Parcel Land Sale Winter 2025, and obtain a bidder number. EnergyNet may require approximately five business days to determine bidder’s financial qualifications.

Written comments about this sale may be mailed to BLM Las Vegas Field Office, Assistant Field Manager, Division of Lands, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89130. A Notice of Realty Action will publish in December 26th's Federal Register to open a 45-day comment period which will close Feb. 10, 2025.

Since its enactment, SNPLMA has generated more than $4 billion through 20 rounds, funding projects that have supported the development of parks, trails, and natural areas; public infrastructure; conservation initiatives; multi-species habitat conservation plans; acquisition of environmentally sensitive land; hazardous fuels reduction projects in the Spring Mountains, Carson Range, and at Lake Tahoe; landscape restoration projects in eastern Nevada; and environmental restoration at Lake Tahoe.
