BLM seeks public comment on proposed options for relinquishing of lands near Walker Lake, Nevada

The BLM is seeking public comment on a series of proposals regarding administrative withdrawal and transfers of land located near Walker Lake in Mineral County, Nevada.

There will be 30 days during which the public can comment on the multiple proposed land actions from the Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Indian Affairs. Comments must be received by August 7, 2024.


The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
