BLM seeks initial input on proposed County Line gold and silver mine
CARSON CITY, Nev.– The Bureau of Land Management is seeking initial public comment on the proposed County Line gold and silver mine planned on 452 acres of public lands near Gabbs in Nye and Mineral counties. The BLM is also seeking public comment to identify any known historic properties in or near the project area under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
If approved, County Line Minerals Corp., a U.S.-based gold producer, could expand two existing open pit mines and a waste rock storage facility; create two additional in-pit waste rock storage facilities, growth media stockpiles, and low- and high-grade ore stockpiles; and construct an access road, stormwater controls, and crushing and ancillary facilities.
