BLM and BOR rescind Public Use Restrictions for the season

Spokane, WASHINGTON – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Spokane District has lifted the fire restrictions on public lands administered by the BLM and the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR). The termination of the additional fire restrictions will take effect Sep. 17, 2024 at 12:01 a.m. in the following counties: Adams, Asotin, Benton, Chelan, Clallam, Clark, Columbia, Cowlitz, Douglas, Ferry, Franklin, Garfield, Grant, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Klickitat, Lewis, Lincoln, Mason, Okanogan, Pacific, Pend Oreille, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Skamania, Snohomish, Spokane, Stevens, Thurston, Wahkiakum, Walla Walla, Whatcom, Whitman, and Yakima Counties.

Exercise caution when operating motor vehicles on roads or trails with vegetation or high grasses. Due to its inherent fire hazard risk, fireworks or exploding targets remain prohibited at any time on federal public lands. Please also ensure that all campfires are completely extinguished and cold before departure from a camping area.
