Pit River Campground
Pit River Campground is CLOSED for the season.
The Pit River Recreation Area is adjacent to the Pit River, near Fall River Mills, CA. It consists of a small campground with eight campsites including one group site. The sites range in size from 40 to 60 feet length and 16 to 20 feet wide. Each has tables, fire rings and barbeque pits.
Amenities include two wheelchair accessible restrooms, a kayak launch ramp, an accessible fishing pier and trash removal service.
A camp host resides on site. The campground is first come, first served. Fees are $8 nightly for individual sites, and $12 nightly for the group site. There is no fee for day use. There is no potable water. Most sites are designed to accommodate up to a 32-foot trailer and one vehicle.
Nearby attractions include golfing in Fall River Mills, McArthur-Burney Falls State Park, campgrounds at Lake Britton, Rising River campground near Cassel (PG&E), and a boat-in access campgrounds at Ahjumawi Lava Spring State Park.

From Redding, California, take Highway 299 East toward Burney, California. After Burney, go 12-miles east until you see the sign "Pit 1 Powerhouse Road". Follow the signs downhill to the campground.
