Nampaweap Trailhead

Located within the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument co-managed by the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management, Nampaweap Trail is a short 1.5 mile out and back hike. The hike traverses a small canyon with basalt outcroppings. Many ancient petroglyphs can be seen along the trail.

Directions

From St. George, Utah via South River Road. Head south on the Mt. Trumbull Loop on BLM 1069 for 22 miles. Continue south onto County Road 5 for 27 miles. Turn left at the Mt. Trumbull Schoolhouse to continue on county Road 5 for 15 miles. Turn right onto BLM Road 1028 for 1 mile. Turn left into the Nampaweap Trailhead.
