Jumbo Mountain
Located just outside of Paonia, Colorado, the Jumbo Mountain Trail System has evolved into a wonderful, renewed resource for non-motorized trail users. The trail system encompasses over 20 miles of great single-track trails with excellent views of the North Fork Valley, as visitors pass through open pinyon-juniper woodlands, mixed mountain shrublands, open desert scrub-shrub, and abode badlands.
The trail network is open to Class 1 e-bikes, mountain bikes, equestrian, and pedestrian visitors. The trails offer a range of experience level - expert, intermediate, and beginner. Portions of the trail system are seasonally closed December 1 through April 15 to protect wintering big game, and December 15 through April 15 to protect nesting raptors. For more information, please contact the Uncompahgre Field Office.
