Grosvenor Arch
A beautiful drive along Cottonwood Creek Drive takes you to this rare double natural arch, one of the most unusual featured of the Grand Staircase- Escalante National Monument.
The impressive sandstone arch is located about 18 miles south of Cannonville, Utah. It is accessed via 7 miles of paved road and 10.5 miles of dirt road. Expect washboard road and sandy areas, but the site can be reached in a passenger vehicle in dry conditions.
Accessibility Description (ABA/ADA)
Parking on site is a fenced lot that is flat with a compacted road-base surface. Although no specific parking spots are designated as accessible, the entire lot is accessible.
There is one accessible unisex vault toilet adjacent to the parking lot.
The Grosvenor Arch is approximately 200 yards from the parking lot. Visitors can get right up to the Arch using a flat, 3-foot-wide cement pathway. There is a bench along the pathway. Additional hiking trails take off from the end of the cement path, but these have not been designed with accessibility in mind.
Two cement picnic tables rest on cement pads. The tables are configured such that they may limit access by visitors who are mobility impaired. There are no shade structures or potable water.
