Cliffs-Connector Trail
The Cliffs-Connector Trail is a semi-maintained route linking the more established Kanab City Trail and Tom’s Canyon Trails to the north of Kanab, UT. The trail includes a steep, rugged climb and requires scrambling and route-finding skills.
The 1.3-mile Cliffs portion of the trail climbs 800 feet from Tom’s Canyon Trail to the top of the Vermilion Cliffs. From there, the 1.2-mile Connector portion of the trail cuts across the mesa top to combine with an OHV track (BLMHC2) before tying in with City Trail, which leads back down the cliffs.
The Cliffs-Connector Trail is open to foot traffic only; bicycles and motorized vehicles are only allowed on the trail segment that follows the OHV track (BLMHC2). Dogs are welcome, but their waste must be packed out. This trail does not have a developed trailhead, and no amenities are available. For more information and detailed maps, visit the Kanab Visitor Center (BLM) in Kanab, UT.
The Cliffs-Connector Trail is primarily clay based. Due to the challenging terrain, use of the trail when it is wet or snow covered is discouraged.
