Service at the ONA
Whether you are interested in attending helping with a project, completing an internship, or serving in another way, there are many opportunities at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area! Volunteering
Opportunities to volunteer on the ONA are available year round. You can get involved with several of our annual events including National Public Lands Day, International Coastal Cleanup and The Great American Clean up. We also offer a variety of general volunteer opportunities on site, if interested coordinate with our site staff and fill out the Volunteer Application.
Internships
Paid internships are currently available through American Conservation Experience. Stipend and housing are provided on site. The past internships involved general site conservation enhancement as well as social media, scientific research and, outreach and education.
Work Crews
Various Americorps crews come throughout the year to help enhance the ONA. Work includes trail maintenance and construction, disaster relief, and general site clean up. Onsite accommodations may be provided for up to twelve individuals.
Artist in Residence
Combine your passion for creativity and the outdoors in the Bureau of Land Management’s Artist-in-Residence Program. Whether you paint, shoot photographs, sculpt, create pottery, or create other types of art, you can be inspired by the beauty of the public lands and your work can inspire others.
