Wyoming Resource Advisory Council Meeting Set for June

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will meet June 25-27, in Kemmerer, Wyo.June RAC meeting agendaThe meeting is open to the public and will take place at the Best Western Plus Fossil Country Inn and Suites conference room, 760 U.S. Highway 189, Kemmerer, beginning at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, and concluding by noon, Friday, June 27.Planned agenda topics include discussions on Greater Sage-Grouse habitats, wildfire fuels, and proposals to improve public participation in meetings and follow-up to previous RAC meetings.The RAC will conduct site visits on Thursday, June 26, of sage-grouse habitats, Ruby Pipeline reclamation sites and areas previously burned by wildfire. The public may attend the site visits, but they must provide their own transportation. The site visit will leave from the hotel at 7:15 a.m. The meeting will resume at the hotel's conference room, at 1:30 p.m.The public comment period will start at 8 a.m., Friday, June 27. The public may also submit written comments during the meeting. Depending on the number of persons wishing to comment and time available, the time for individual oral comments may be limited. If there are no members of the public interested in speaking, the meeting will move promptly to the next agenda item.The purpose of the council is to advise the Secretary of the Interior through the BLM on a variety of issues associated with public land management.
