Volunteers needed for National Public Lands Day event at Big Dune

LAS VEGAS – The Bureau of Land Management will hold a National Public Lands Day event September 30 starting at 9 a.m. at Big Dune near Amargosa Valley in Nevada.

Volunteers are needed to help with clean-up and improvement projects. Gloves, trash bags, water and snacks will be provided. Volunteers will also receive a free shirt and one-day pass to Red Rock National Conservation Area. Participants are asked to wear proper work clothing, including hats, pants and sturdy footwear.

National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands and brings together hundreds of thousands of individual and organizational volunteers to help restore America’s public lands.
