ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument is experiencing longer than normal wait times during Balloon Fiesta Week (October 5 - 14).  As balloonists and spectators make plans to visit the Monument, please plan excursions accordingly, as long wait times at the entrance are reaching from 90-120 minutes due to limited parking.

The BLM and Pueblo de Cochiti are asking that visitors be patient during this time or consider visiting other popular areas in the near vicinity.  New Mexico is home to spacious scenic destinations such as El Malpais National Conservation Area, Ojito Wilderness, Cabezon Wilderness Study Area, Perea Nature Area, and many more.  For more information on nearby public lands, please visit www.blm.gov/new-mexico or call 505-761-8700.
