CASPER, Wyo. – The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center is hosting its annual model railroad exhibit throughout the month of December.

The exhibit is presented and operated by the Casper-based Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association. Organized in 1987, the association provides model railroading educational and recreational opportunities.

The display will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday-Saturday on the following days:

  • December 1-3
  • December 8-10
  • December 15-17
  • December 22-24
  • December 29-31

This year’s holiday railroad exhibit, “Celebrating Trains,” offers something for every age. Guests are invited to view and operate a variety of model trains. Club members from the railroad association will be on-hand to assist and educate enthusiasts.

“This is truly a hands-on operation where you will have the opportunity to touch and operate the different model railroad trains,” says club member Homer Whitlock.
