WINNEMUCCA, Nev. – Due to recent storms and run-off, Soldier Meadows Road is washed out approximately 12 miles northeast of Gerlach.  A BLM roads crew has started repairs and it is expected that work will continue for a few weeks.

"Most vehicles should not try traversing the damaged part of the road," said Mark Hall, Black Rock Field Manager.  "The BLM apologizes for the inconvenience, but with the predicted weather patterns the next few weeks, additional washouts elsewhere along Soldier Meadows Road are anticipated." Expect traffic delays due to construction activities.
