PARADISE VALLEY, Nev. –A Red Flag warning has been issued and is in effect today until 5 p.m. Monday July, 16. Temperatures are supposed to reach 95 to 100 degrees with the relative humidity being 10 to 14 percent. With thunderstorms and gusty winds expected, initial attack (IA) fire crews will be ready and on the lookout for any possible lighting strikes.

The unmanned aircraft system will fly today on the west part of the Martin fire. It will be mapping unburned islands and looking for heat sources in and around the perimeter of the fire using infrared technology. Firefighters will be monitoring and working on road and dozer line repair.

In the coming days, the Type 3 team will be turning over control to the local agencies and crews will be demobilizing and heading back to their home units or assigned to other fires as needed.
