Public comments sought for EagleRidge proposal on two oil wells

VERNAL, Utah – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Vernal Field Office is seeking public comment regarding an Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposal from EagleRidge Operating, LLC to drill up to two oil wells from two well pads. The project area is located in Uintah County on BLM-managed lands east of Vernal, Utah.
The proposed project would result in the improvement of 3.6 miles of existing road, the construction of 1.6 miles of new road and 15.2 acres of surface disturbance. The well pads and access roads are 3.8 miles north of Highway 149.
The 30-day comment period closes at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 22. Comments are most useful when they are specific and provide new information relevant to the proposal. Comments containing only opinions or preferences will not receive a formal response, but may be considered in the BLM decision-making process.
