Pine Hollow Fire Update, August 7, 2020

Summary: The fire is be managed by local Type 3 team led by Ty Mizer and Brandon Davis (IC3 Trainee).

100% containment

Crews continue repair work in areas impacted by suppression activities. The team is using various heavy equipment to improve damaged roads and to cover bare ground that was recently exposed by dozers as they created fire line.

Because of the decreased activity of the fire, resources continue to de-mobilize and return to their home units or be assigned to other fires.

Fire Size/Containment: 11,405 acres; 100% contained Location: 20 miles east of Kanab

Ownership: BLM Arizona Strip and Paria River Districts Fire Behavior: Smoldering, Creeping

House Rock valley road (BLM 1065) is open to travel. Please watch for equipment on the road.

Fuels/Terrain: Grass, brush, Pinyon-Juniper woodland

Resources Assigned: 2 Helicopters, 2 Crews, 2 Engines, 6 Water Tenders and 1 Road Grader.
