Idaho Falls District BLM is hiring wildland firefighters for 2018

Idaho Falls, Idaho-- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho Falls District will be hiring wildland firefighters for the 2018 fire season. Job applications will be accepted starting November 27, 2017 with an early cutoff date of January 30, 2018.

Positions open and close at different times over the next month. Check the attached Idaho Fire Flyer 2018 for exact application dates.

Pay starts at $12.33 with the opportunity for overtime and hazard pay. To qualify you must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen and have six months of general experience.

“We are looking for hardworking, physically fit individuals to fight fires across eastern Idaho,” Kris Bruington, Idaho Falls District BLM Fire Operations Supervisor, “We will be filling approximately 80 seasonal positions in eastern Idaho.”
